Have you ever been so inspired by someone that their words left a lasting impression on you?
That’s exactly how I felt after meeting Engr. Gerrilyn Cantillep during our 10th-day work project. Getting to know her was a true honor, and one of the highlights of my experience. I even have a cherished photo with her that reminds me of that moment.

What made it even more special was the way she acknowledged my efforts during the training. She offered compliments and words of encouragement that, honestly, I didn’t expect. It left me feeling incredibly grateful and, admittedly, a little bashful. But more than anything, those words meant the world to me. They brought a sense of joy and validation that I’ll never forget.
The support I received from Engr. Cantillep, along with the guidance from the other architects and engineers I worked with, was invaluable. They not only shared their knowledge and expertise but also motivated me to believe in my potential.
Those words of encouragement will always stay with me, fueling my drive to continue pursuing my dreams—with confidence and determination.

The photo above was taken on the last day of the Work Immersion of 12-Athena, S.Y. 2022-2023, along with our adviser, Ms. Milet Pepito, and the Grade 12 School Coordinator, Mr. John Nuevo. We were also joined by the District Engineer (DE), Engr. Gerrilyn Cantillep, and an admin representative from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
